Just When You Think They've Run Out Of Stupid

Like a fool, I decided to read the details and comments to:

What’s The Best Way For A Cashier To Handle Problem Child With Complaining Mom?

My only consolation is that when King Shermlock the Extreme's reign begins, these sorts of people will forcefully recruited into building my memorial pyramid that will be three-times higher than Cheop's. But I'm not concerned as there's more than enough fucktards out there to pull the blocks.

Addendum:

And I've no problem with using the little ones, too. They're learn some discipline.

Newsworthy?

The Colts Are Gods News Sheet again shows how shameless it is in supporting a cause. I offer:
Veterans push climate change bill
By Erika D. Smith
Posted: December 2, 2009

Bringing a new face to the debate over climate change, a half dozen military veterans spoke today to a small group -- mostly of the converted -- about the threat that a warming Earth and an ongoing dependence on foreign oil poses to national security
We get more people than that at our BlogMeets! Jesus F-ing Christ. Can they be any more transparent than this?

Erika, come to our next BlogMeet and report on what WE think.

Another Example Of People In Public Education

Commenting on the assaults reported in 10 North Naples Middle students suspended for taking part in “kick a Jew day”, District Spokesman Joe Landon says:
You are talking about an incident that has anti-Jewish bias if not anti-Semitism.
So, Joe, being anti-Jewish is bad, but 'anti-Semitism' is worse and only then deserves punishment? Do you have any clue at all as to what the fuck you're saying?

I'll Tell You Where I'd Like To Park It!

Yesterday I received what I can only call an advertisement from Parking Services here at IUPUI:
From: Parking Services IUPUI
Sent: Wednesday, November 04, 2009 8:47 PM
Subject: Guaranteed Garage Parking While Supplies Last

The temperature is dropping and so will the number of available parking spaces on campus. In a few weeks, the campus skyline will begin to change when a new, 1,300-space parking garage goes up on the east end of campus. As the garage goes up, available parking will go down.

Do you really want to spend your time searching for a parking spot? Premium parking is available in the Vermont Street or North Street garages . . . but only while supplies last.

Get your garage permit before someone else takes your spot. Simply visit Parking Services at 1004 W. Vermont St. to exchange your current permit.
I wrote back with a copy going to Chancellor Charles Bantz:
I'm still astounded that IUPUI would build yet another parking garage when we know for certain that the price of gas will be going up, the number of cars on campus will go down, and students will be looking for better ways and cheaper ways to get to campus. IUPUI is myopic in looking at the current situation and not looking into the future.

Perhaps IUPUI should be looking to partner with local companies for mass transit(and NOT Bloomington-based shuttle companies!) to support our students', staff's, and faculty's transit needs.
Maybe it's time to bring out the clue bat and start hitting these people over the head with it.

UPDATE

I received the following note from Carol Pferrer, the Director of IUPUI Parking and Transportation Services and I'm heartened!
I agree that helping people move to more sustainable options as they relate to transportation needs to be a priority. We’ve been partnering with IndyGo for three years by providing our students with a S pass that is valid on any of IndyGo’s fixed routes. The university has a sustainability committee and I co-chair the Transportation Subcommittee for Sustainability. We are looking at ways the campus as a whole can affect transportation. One of our Assistant Directors is charged with moving us more toward TDM (Transportation Demand Management) and we have an intern that is collecting data for several sustainable transportation projects. I would like to invite you to join our Transportation Sustainability committee as it seems you have a passion for this topic.

All that being said, we are looking to our master plan to guide us as we move into the future. It has many garages on the plan, as we will no longer have a sea of surface parking available for our community. We will continue to search for the balance.

Our next Transportation Sustainability meeting is on November 10, 2009 at 1pm at Parking and Transportation Services. Hope to see you there.
I'm going!

Shermlock Shomes: Detective

I put on my deerstalker when I saw this in Jim Irsay's Favorite Rag:

Police: Suicidal driver caused crash on I-65

In part:
The Indianapolis woman was driving her Plymouth PT Cruiser southbound near the Greenwood exit about 4 p.m. when she rear-ended a Toyota sport utility vehicle. . . .the woman told deputies she was trying to commit suicide. She was taken to Community Hospital North in Indianapolis for psychological evaluation.
The cynic detective in me thinks that this woman was probably talking on her cell phone and not paying attention when she rear-ending the SUV. Panicked, she figured the, "Shit, I'm nuts and I did it on purpose!" excuse would keep her out of jail. Nice. And the fidget* cops seem to have bought it.

Indy, Snow, and the Super Bowl

Today the Newspaper That Humps Jim Irsay's Leg has a good example of why I hold it in low regard:

Indy confident it could handle snow for 2012 Super Bowl

In typical 'Rah Rah!' fashion, the reporter repeats the statements of David Sherman, director of the Department of Public Works, who, "with calm confidence," said:
"We can handle it," he said, noting that snow on the ground could even add to the party atmosphere, "like at a ski resort."
Yeah. Right. Like a friggin' party in a ski resort parking lot 'cause that's what the Downtown and the IUPUI campus turn into every time it snows, even a little, before rush hour. Everyone leaves work early and all these Hoosier drivers never heard that gridlocking is illegal, much less damned rude and inconsiderate. You never see a cop directing traffic at key intersections or handing out tickets to these fidgets.* David Sherman should get out more when it snows.

Allison Melangton, a senior vice president at Indiana Sports Corp. is also quoted. She's in charge of local Super Bowl operations for that committee.
"I'm 100 percent confident that the city and DPW will have procedures and plans in place that will be 100 percent effective in keeping streets and sidewalks clear for the Super Bowl."
I wonder what those plans will be? Block off traffic from the Downtown if it's going to snow? By the way, she called that one in from Tampa.

*'Fidget' is a contraction of 'fucking' and 'idiot.'

Little 'Adolf Hitler' Denied Birthday Cake at N.J. Grocery

In part:
The father of 3-year-old Adolf Hitler Campbell, denied a birthday cake with the child's full name on it by one New Jersey supermarket, is asking for a little tolerance.
Yeah. You should have been at his Second Birthday party when little Adolf smeared cake in Benito Mussolini Smith's hair.

From the daily "We Love The Colts!" newspaper:

In part:
Police say a Muncie woman was arrested after asking a state trooper whether she could smoke -- and then trying to light up a marijuana joint.

A "What the Fu....?!?" News Item

Perusing the Colts Official Propaganda Pamphlet I see:

Hoosier charged with trying to buy girl, 15

In part:
Authorities say a northeastern Indiana man attempted pay an undercover officer $500 for a 15-year-old girl who would then be taken out of state and forced into a marriage.
But that didn't cause me to blurt out "What the [f-bomb]?!?" It was the:
Steuben County sheriff's Detective Dale Murray says the department received a tip from a member of Stump's church that he had talked about his desire to buy an underage girl.
Oh, yeah. That's something I can see discussing with a fellow church-goer before services begin. "Yeah, George. I'm lookin' to buy a teenage honey for half a grand. Any leads?"

I don't tolerate willful stupidity

The news of Whoopi Goldberg's asinine question to John McCain, “Should I worry about being a slave?” is old. But I still have to reply, "Do I have to worry about fighting another Civil War?"

Quote of the next day

A reporter working for the Colts News Organization IndyStar reports that a family hit the $300,000 jackpot after suing a cemetery over a casket mishap in which they were exposed to the dearly departed who looked a bit the worse for wear after being dead for over a year. The quote comes from one of the plaintiffs:
"Now, maybe my brother can rest."
Yeah, right. He's at rest knowing that he was able to win ya the Big Bucks in the Litigation Lottery.

Lucre Oil Stadium

Hmmm. The IndyStar, normally serving the role as the propaganda arm of the Colts and offering free advertising with every fluff 'news' item they write concerning TGS (That Goddam Stadium) give the taxpayers a small peak at the man behind the curtain:

New deal lets Colts rake in cash

The Colts ". . .could reap $1.4 billion over the next three decades in one of the sweeter stadium deals in the National Football League."

And what do we residents of Indianapolis get beyond the knowledge that the Colts' owner Jim Irsay will never be on welfare?

"Keeping the team in Indianapolis lends the city a certain prestige bestowed on few American cities."

Thanks, but you can keep it and instead give me a decent mass transit system, a real sewer system, better schools, etc. etc. You know. Stuff that actually benefits the citizens and taxpayers.

Too much, the Magic Bus

I saw in the IndyStar today:

IndyGo wants to raise bus fares by 25 cents a ride

In part:
Faced with rising fuel costs and higher demand for bus service, IndyGo has proposed increasing its fares by 25 cents per trip beginning in January.

The increase, presented Monday to a City-County Council committee as part of the agency's 2009 budget, would bump the cost of a bus ride to $1.75.
Now I can understand this. The rising price of fuel has boosted the price of just about everything. But when they say:
"We're doing everything we can to preserve what little service we have as it is," said Michael Terry, IndyGo's interim president and chief executive officer.
I lose it. As I said before, they just do not get it. Local politicians will fall all over themselves to hand money to Jim Irsay and the Colts, seeing the Lucas Oil Stadium as an amenity. But they don't see the bus system as an amenity. They could have pumped some of that $750 million spent on the Lucas Oil Stadium into IndyGo and advertised Indianapolis as a city where you can "park you car and never have to use it again" but instead chose the route of offering the plebes bread and circuses at that goddam stadium.
