Taxes For Thee But Not For Me

Seems members of our Capital Improvement Board here in Indy get two free suite tickets to each Colts game. At that link Paul Ogden astutely asks, "My next question would be are the members of the CIB paying individual income tax on the free tickets they receive?" Hmmm. I hope someone is paying attention to this and drops a dime on 'em.

How Generous!

I forgot to comment on this when I saw it:

Colts Owner Gives Away Tickets and Cash

In part:
Colts owner Jim Irsay gave away $2,000 cash and four tickets to Sunday's Colts game at Lucas Oil Stadium in a Twitter scavenger hunt.
How generous of ol' big-hearted Jim. After we wrote him a check for $5 million AND built him a stadium.

Jim: Eat shit and die.

Fore!

I called my brother the other day and asked, "How often do you play golf?"
"About once a month if I can get away from the job."
"Do you think the President's job is more important than yours?"
"No!"
"That explains it, then."

Job Loss in Indy?

Saw this headline:

Study: Pacers' Exit Would Cost City 900 Jobs, $18M

and thought, "There's that many bartenders and exotic dancers that the players support?"
