My Little Shopper

Hey kiddies! Wanna be just like Mommy? Ask ol' Santy for this!

Toy Self-Checkout Prepares Children For Bleak Future Of Consumption Without Human Interaction

In part:

This is the perfect set to start your little ones learning how to shop… its cute, space saving, and great for the imagination.. :)
Just like Walmart. But I think if it was to work like the real Walmart self-checkout then on every other item it would insist that you bag the item even though you've already done so. And on every third failure would stop and display a "Please wait for assistance," until some extremely unmotivated checkout monitor would slowly saunter over and clear the error.

Oh, and this should come with a play EBT card, too.

Stock Market and Animal Husbandry

I figured out the perfect paradigm for the behavior of the stock market: the traders are just like turkeys! They all get crazy and run to one end of the yard and the next day get crazy and run to the other end. And sometimes they just stand there and gobble stupidly.

And for those of you from the city: Animal husbandry != farm sex. Sickos.

Socialist Democracy

Michelle Malkin notes the death of fiscal conservatism today, saying in part:
This is your Bush legacy — not Pelosi’s, not Reid’s, not Obama’s: A ginormous bailout of every last, failing, panicked financial institution’s illiquid assets that may reach into the trillions — TRILLIONS – when all is said and done.
I see today as the birthday of the United States as a socialist democracy.
The blood-dimmed tide is loosed, and everywhere
The ceremony of innocence is drowned;
The best lack all conviction, while the worst
Are full of passionate intensity.

"Nothin' from nothin' leaves nothin'"

Frank James gets it. Head to that link and read carefully. Take notes. Particularly if you wanna be POTUS.
