Quote of the Day

"Though this nation has proudly thought of itself as an ethnic melting pot, in things racial we have always been and continue to be, in too many ways, essentially a nation of cowards."
- Attorney General Eric Holder

My sentiments exactly, Shomes! I want to ask Holder just who are these paragons of racial openness to whom he is comparing us? The Brits? The French? The Canadians? The Russians? The Dutch? The Japanese? The Japanese? Oh, fer cryin, out loud! When it comes to racial tolerance and openness, we Yanks do better than most and as good as the best. Or has Holder already forgotten that we're the only democracy that has ever elected a hyphenated-African to lead us? And by a lopsided margin of millions of votes, too.

Grrr...don't get me started!

Holder can kiss my ass. This country has no problem with races; most of the trouble is between one race/religion/group and another. The country as a whole is good at letting everyone merge, until some demagogue stirs up a bunch of shit and causes problems. Calling the whole country a bunch of cowards is despicable; I'd like that craven SOB to come say it to my face.
Excuse my rant.
