So Barry says ISIS is "not Islamic." Well, I have to agree with Daniel Pipes when he quotes Bernard Lewis:

"As Bernard Lewis, a leading American authority of Islam, notes: “It is surely presumptuous for those who are not Muslims to say what is orthodox and what is heretical in Islam.”

And I'm of the same thought as Edward Curtis IV, a colleague of mine. If someone declares themselves to be a Muslim we must take them at their word as we do not have the authority to say otherwise. Unless we're Barack Hussein Obama.

The University's AVP for Human Resources is circulating a memo reminding units that come January 2014, a provision of the Affordable Care Act (AKA Obamacare) will require health insurance be provided for anyone working 30 or more hours a week (assuming 40 hours a week is full time.) If the University system does not offer medical coverage to 95% of all of these “full-time” employees, then there will be an annual penalty of $2,000 for every “full-time” employee or approximately $37,000,000. Thus part-time employees will now be limited to 29 or less hours of work a week and this will be rigorously watched.

I think the Government should expand its powers beyond controlling the technology allowed for firearms (e.g. 30 round magazines) to ALL technology. You don't need a hard drive larger that 200Gb. Barry Throws Islam Under the Bus

For the past week I've been busy on a project and have purposely stayed away from the news as I knew it would draw my attention and I wanted to concentrate on this project and give it my full energy. So here's my take on the whole Benghazi Bungle:

President Obama is throwing an entire religion under the bus. Sending Ambassador Rice out to say that the attack was not premeditated when the Libyans (and others) are saying that it was, just to save his sorry ass and get re-elected is basically saying that a poorly made YouTube video critical of Islam or an attention-seeking pastor with a handful of parishioners burning a Qur'an will set off these violent, primitive, backwards yahoo-s. This panders to both the Left and the bigots on the Right in its denigration of Islam.

Hmmm. Maybe Barry is a uniter after all. . .

If you can't say anything good. . .

Yesterday Roberta X offered up a complement to our President for his having the decency for refusing to name the killer of the people in the Augusta, CO movie theatre, thus denying him even more fame. I found it difficult to offer up a "me, too" in the addended comments, being compelled by my inner cynicism to think the worse of Barry. I suppose, in hindsight, that I should say something good about the President. Here it is: He almost makes me miss Bill Clinton.

Seriously, I've gotten to the point where I cannot find anything at all good to say about Barry. I'm to the point where I cannot watch or listen to any of his or his wife's speeches. I will turn the channel if his face appears on my television. One might say, "Well, now you understand how some people felt about George W." Yeah, but they were wrong. My hatred of Barry is right and honorable.
