"Hi! I'm from Michigan!"

I only live in Indiana. And despite living here for almost fifteen years, I've never seen myself as a Hoosier and likely never will. It's just one of those things. And when I regularly see stuff like this:

I'm glad I'm not from around here.

That isn't just Indiana. Everyone who works for government from the cop that expects free coffee to the politicians who flout the law.

Nothing new there.

True. But I get the impression, especially from the local politicians, that they aspire to be as successfully corrupt as their big brothers in Chicago but just lack the intelligence and finesse.

Says the man whose natal state has the execrable Carl Levin for a Senator???

Just sayin'. And I hold no brief for Lugar and never have, FWIW.
