We've been having a rash of accidents near where I work the last few days. This is Michigan Street looking west through the West Street intersection along the "Super" route for the Super Bowl yesterday afternoon. As of this morning it's been fixed.

ooopss. I'm staying in all weekend like a coward.
Mrs. Shomes and I took the (free) city bus downtown last night to see what the city looks like when hosting the Super Bowl. My observations:
1. As a regular bus user, I've never seen so many white people on the bus.
2. I've never seen so many people downtown. We left around 7:30 before it became totally insane and the authorities cut off ingress to the downtown.
The closest I've been to downtown in weeks is the 500 block of North Illinois...and I won't be going down there today at all.
